Bonus Post! Santa Clara Wedding Weekend

So technically these next pictures should be on the "9 Month" post but I can't wait!

We recently had the pleasure of attending my dear friends wedding back home in Santa Clara. As a mommy of a boy, I haven't really played "dress up" with Patrick at all, especially compared to some of my friends who have baby girls. Well I couldn't pass up this opportunity. And now I must warn you about the level of cuteness that you are about to witness :)

                               Matching with Daddy!

Patrick was so good at the wedding, especially considering all the attention he was getting and how many strangers held him. I think he likes the attention!

We had a great weekend with the family. It was especially nice that Bachan (Great-grandma Nakamoto) was able to visit. Patrick spent the weekend flirting and cuddling with his Bachan, learning to buzz (future trumpet player I guess) with Uncle Brent, and smiling and playing with Grandma and Grandpa.

What a great weekend!

8 Months

Patrick is 8 months old already! He has been going through some pretty serious growth spurts lately and he has a little man face now. And enormous hands! During the work week Delmar can sometimes go 3 or 4 days without seeing Patrick because of his long shifts. Sunday mornings when he gets his first play time of the week with Patrick, Delmar is always surprised at how much bigger he is and how much he has changed over those few days. Oh...and he has an outrageous head of hair!
Here are a few pics:
Patrick wouldn't leave the sticker on his belly alone. I finally gave in and let him have it!
Workin it for the camera!
Still no crawling or other creative forms of baby mobility. He is getting close though. We can see all the pieces starting to come together and those little wheels upstairs are turning! Until then, Mommy is happy to get a good workout carrying him around and burning a few extra calories. He is a solid little sitter though. He is happiest sitting out on a blanket in the front yard watching the dogs and the ducks, and playing with the grass.

Patrick is still absolutely in love with his Sophie, and I think the feeling is mutual.

Love or tasty cleaning?!? Sometimes there's a little leftover dinner
on Patrick's face that Sophie is so good about cleaning up for me!

This kid is so much fun! He has such a great personality that is evolving every day. He has an infectious laugh and a radiant smile. I am so lucky to spend all day with him!

Well that's about all for this post. I did recently get a new camera, so I might try and post more pictures more often on an additional site. I'll keep you updated when I figure out how that works.
